Environmental Permit Waiver
An Environmental Permit Waiver is a document that formally acknowledges that an applicant's project does not require an environmental management permit. For example, building a canopy over an existing, paved gas island would be eligible for an Environmental Permit Waiver. Generally, work that does not damage a tree, impact a conservation or preservation area, and disturbs less than 1,000 square feet of the ground surface for undeveloped sites is eligible for a permit waiver. Other minor redevelopment projects may also qualify.
