I am a unaltered female & I look like a American Staffordshire Terrier
The shelter staff think I am 5 years old.
Hi, I’m Impala—a 5-year-old tan American Staffordshire Terrier type dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I came to the shelter as an owner surrender when my person’s landlord wouldn’t allow me to stay. I’m active, playful, talkative, and love being around people—I’m always excited to meet new visitors and make friends. I’m great with kids of all ages and absolutely love water (just not the hose, please). I take treats gently and learn best with a strong voice and some tasty motivation. I’ve been known to dig and try the occasional escape, so I’ll need a secure yard and someone who can help me stay safe. I previously lived outside, so I’m not housetrained yet, but I’m eager to learn. I’d need a meet and greet with any future doggy siblings before going home. If you're looking for a spirited, people-loving companion who’s ready to be part of your family, I’d love to meet you.
